The story of a marriage, translated…
I’d bumped into Autumn, with whom I’d worked as a volunteer during the Floral Expo a couple of years ago, and after that, we’d lost touch with one another, and, I can’t believe, that we actually got off at the same stop this time.
We’d found a small café and sat down, planned to catch up. I saw how good she looked now, compared to before, not only was she smiling, she’d become more talkative too, unlike how quiet she was before; her body became fitter, she looked very well and energetic.
I’d told her, that seeing how good she looked, it must’ve been how well she’d gotten along with her husband. At first, she’d just smiled and not said a word, a little while later, she’d started telling me, of how she’d slowly, adjusted how she’d interacted with her husband in recent years, and she’d found, that the road of marriage, isn’t at all hard travel, the arguments between them reduced, she’d become more self-confident also, and, naturally her days got better.
Autumn’s husband is also her superior from work, he had a previous marriage, and a five-year-old son too. At first, Autumn’s heart went out to the little boy, for not having a mother, and that her superior’s work is hard, and so, she’d helped him babysit, and she’d also found out, that he’s still meet up with his ex-wife from time to time.
But, after she’d married her superior, Autumn started caring about the interaction between her husband and his ex, feared that the dying flames may get rekindled, and so, she’d started spying on her husband, listened to his calls, checked his cell phone too, or, would use sarcastic remarks when she’d conversed with her husband.
After awhile, Autumn became more and more insecure, and, the husband felt helpless of the situation too.
Autumn became even MORE unhappy, until after she’d gone into a growth class, did she slowly start to change. She’d learned, to let go of her lacking sense of security, to NO longer feel unsure about her husband, nor does she start calling him up at work; with the unnecessary worries, she’d found, how much her husband really loved her, and, came to the realizations, that all of her previous worries, were unfounded and caused by herself.
And, her relaxing and easing up had also, alleviated this stress and pressure that her husband felt, and, they’d cared for one another more, and, became more and more in love with each other. Autumn finally understood, that trust, turned out to be, the MOST important foundation of a marriage.
So, this, is a lesson that’s learned, through growing up, and, you CAN understand why this woman WAS insecure, after all, it was not her husband’s first marriage, and, because her husband and his ex-wife had a child together, that, is why they’re still interacting with one another, and this woman felt threatened, and she failed to realize, that her husband really DOES love her, until she’d learned to ease up a bit, and let go of her own insecurities, and, by trusting herself (b/c it’s still TRANSFERENCE, hello, hello, hello???), she was able to trust her husband more, and, everything got better for them.
