She’d told the press, “We’re already divorced!”, admitted to “for the sake, of giving our son a complete home”
It’s been two years, since Jen Jeng’s breakup with her husband, Jia-Chang Liu, awhile ago, Liu had filed a divorce in court with Jen Jeng in Hong Kong, after two days of silence, Jen Jeng couldn’t take it anymore, yesterday, she’d given the papers an exclusive interview, and the secrets she’d kept for so long finally came out, “’We’d been divorced for twenty-eight years already, in order to give my son a ‘complete’ home on the surface, so, I’d kept up with these false pretenses.” She’d also stressed, “if he didn’t sue me, I would’ve still kept this a secret, today, he’d sued me, and, I must come clean to the press, that we’re already, divorced, it no longer mattered who’s right or wrong in this marriage of ours, it’s all past now.”
When the outside world thought that Jen Jeng and Chia-Chang Liu who’d been married since June of 1978, before the eve of their thirty-sixth anniversary, Jen Jeng admitted that they filed for divorce back in 1987 already, but, in order to give her son a happy and carefree childhood, they’d decided not to tell him, and still managed, to keep a “complete” family, in actuality, they were a “couple on the surfaces, but not for real” for a total of twenty-eight years, and, this had, shocked the entertainment industry. But, before the deadline of this article yesterday, the papers still couldn’t get Liu to tell his side of the story.
Jen Jeng’s breaking up with Chia-Chang Liu had been rumored recently, from 2013, when there were talks of their divorce, back then, Jen Jeng kept her lips sealed, and Chia-Chang Liu had told the press, that they were, still together, that he still held on to the responsibilities toward his wife then, but, the paper had reported, “They were already divorced.”
Awhile ago, the press in Hong Kong exposed how Liu was suing Jen Jeng for divorce, she’d kept silent for two days, as she’d accepted the interview from the papers yesterday, she’d finally came out with the secret she’d kept, for twenty-eight years, everything she did, was for her son, Tzi-Chien Liu. And, the truth, Jen Jeng told her son, after he became an adult, but, she’d still acted as the middle man between father and son.
As she’d told of how she was already divorced, she’d cried, the two of them married in the U.S. back in 1978, loved for a short while, after she gave birth to Tzi-Chien Liu back in 1987m she’d filed for divorce from Liu, and, they’d already gotten the paper works in the U.S. set up, but, back then, Jen Jeng considered how young her son still was, didn’t want him to grow up in a broken home, and plus, Chia-Chang Liu wanted the two of them to continue to be on good terms, and so, on the surfaces, they were still, husband and wife.
As for the reason of the divorce, the rumors pointed toward how Chia-Chang Liu took to gambling, and, spent eight hundred thousand to one million dollars USD each and every time, and Jen Jeng just couldn’t put up with it, the year right after her son was born, she’d filed for divorce, as for the divisions of the assets, she’d said, “Back then, we didn’t have ANYTHING, there’s NOTHING To divide up!”
The rumors still came, and now, Jen Jeng was no longer bugged by them, stated how everything that’s past, had come, to pass, and now, she’d only wanted to be able to “part amicably” with her ex.
So, you can see, how the son is still the ADHESIVE between the parents, and, can you imagine how much STRAINS the son must’ve felt, even IF the parents were able to keep up with the false pretenses of their marriage, the child would definitely feel the STRAINS in their relationship just the same, and, you DO understand why this mom had chosen to put up a false façade of being happily married to the man, right???
