The Son of a Well-to-Do Family Robbed a Bank, and Managed to Squander Away a Hundred Thousand Dollars Overnight

This, is how quickly you can go from RICHES to RAGS, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The police cracked the case of the robbery last week at Changhwa Bank the Lu-Chu Subbranch, arrested the man who was involved, Tsai, Tsai was the second-generation of a well-known family corporation from the south, but he’d spend the money listlessly, borrowed money from the loan sharks, and, he couldn’t find a way to pay them back, that, was why he’d robbed a bank.  The police found, that after he’d managed to take seven hundred thousand dollars N.T. that evening, he’d hired a driver, and gone to a pub, to party with some girls, and, as he was arrested, he only had the theft amount of $330,000N.T. left on him.

The forty-five year-old Tsai, when he was arrested, admitted to robbing the bank, and was surprised at how quickly the cops came looking, the police booked him based off of robbery yesterday, and asked the courts to place him into custody, the courts gave him a bail of half-a-million dollars N.T.

“Can’t tell he’s that kind of a man!”, the older generation of worker said, that Tsai’s older siblings are all well-behaved and hard working, all lived in the States, and, these two years, Tsai took care of his ailing father, everybody felt that he was a “good son”, that he’d committed this crime, probably because of a “temporary possession”.

After the robbery, the police reviewed the surveillance cameras at every street entrance, found that the suspect rode up north, and entered into a small alley, and, after he’d led them on a wild goose chase, he’d vanished, and, that, was why the police suspected, that he knew the area well.  After they’d confirmed with the local subprecinct, they’d made an arrest successfully on the evening of the 10th.

The police found, that Tsai’s family manufactured spark plugs, and, had subsidiary companies in China, Thailand, Vietnam, and other places too, Tsai’s father, because he fell ill these past two years, rarely work in the office, but was still the acting assistant CEO.  A little over ten years ago, Tsai was sent over to Jiangsu by the family, after he left the job, he was a salesperson of motorcycles, nine years ago, he’d returned to Taiwan, and, operated a bikers’ shop and parts, but, because he didn’t have the skills to run the shop, the shop’s been closed for quite some time.

The police understood, that Tsai had been divorced for two years, and, although he came from good background, but, he’d started living extravagantly after returning to Taiwan, bought all the high end things, and, after awhile, his father just cut him off, and so, he could only pawn his belongings, to live, the police found out that he’d had over forty records of pawning something at the local pawn shops, and borrowed over three million dollars N.T. with the loan sharks, and because he couldn’t pay off the high interests, that, was why he’d thought up of robbing a bank.

The police said, on the noon hours of May 8th, Tsai took off the license plate on his motorcycle, rode to the bank, used a toy gun, robbed the bank for over $700,000N.T., then, made his escape.  That very afternoon, Tsai had wired the interests of $240,000N.T. to the people he owed, and had bought name brand purse, and clothing, for his girlfriend, and that very night, he’d flagged a cab, to go to a certain pub in Tainan, in one night, he’d squandered away over a hundred thousand dollars.

So this, was why the father CUT him off, because he’d spent listlessly, and now, he didn’t have the money, he thought of robbing a bank, and, he still got caught, this still just shows, that NO good deeds go UNPUNISHED!
