Another TRAGIC tale, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A man from the city of Taipei, Lin, had a verbal altercation with his wife last Saturday, ran to the Hsintien Creek to jump to kill himself, the fire departments still hadn’t recovered his body yet, Lin’s younger brother disregarded the family’s speaking against it, yesterday morning, put on his goggles, to find his older brother, but, he’d ended up, drowned too. After the families were told the news, they’d started crying, said that the younger brother loved his older brother a lot, but they’d never expected, that he’d lost his life, trying to find his older brother’s body.
The police pointed out, that the man, Lin (age 40) who works in landscaping, and his younger brother (age 39) who works in building constructions, are very close.
Lin’s younger brother early yesterday morning at about seven, was accompanied by his friends, gone underneath the Chungchen Bridge to find his older brother; because he knew how to swim, so, he’d tied a firefighter’s flashlight on his wrist, put on his goggles, went into the water to find his older brother, but, not long thereafter, the younger brother lost contact too.
Back then, the firefighters were still trying to recover the older brother downstream from where the younger brother went into the water, they saw Lin’s friends called out for help, they’d immediately split up into two teams, to find the younger brother, at a little past seven, the older brother who’d fell into the water last week surfaced, and, at around noon, the firefighters also recovered the younger brothers body as well.
So, this, would be one more tragedy, but because the siblings were very close, the younger brother decided to go and look for his older brother’s body, and ended up, drowned.
