Posting His Student’s Cell Phone Online, a Male Instructor Bullied a Male Student

This, is a REALLY BAD example, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

A male high school instructor from Hualien about a month ago, he’d posted a male student’s telephone number, and posted friendship ad onto the NTU discussion board forums, with the name “Depressed Girl”, looking for someone, to share the lonely nights, causing the male student’s phone ring nonstop, and the student called the police about it.  The D.A. stated, that the instructor had broken a law on sexual harassment; the school stated, that there may have been some sort of misunderstanding between the instructor and the student.

This high school boy’s cell phone, for over a month, rang nonstop without reasons, but, as the callers heard his voice, they’d hang up, there would be over a hundred calls a day, causing the teen to feel troubled, after someone whom he’d met online told him, he’d discovered, that somebody had posted his cell phone number on a friendship site a PTT by N.T.U., “All Together”.

The high school boy went online to check, and, his cell phone number was logged in as “a depressed girl, born in 1996, looking for someone to spend these lonely nights, and it’d also had ‘I want to hear real voices, I’d get moved that way’.”  The high school age student got furious, and wrote the person back, “You’d had fun, messing with me, hadn’t you?  You just wait and see!”, and kept a copy of the article, took it to the police.

The police looked into the matter and found, that it was, an instructor who was responsible for leading an extracurricular club in his school, and the police called the male instructor in for questioning, he’d stated, that it was only a joke, after he’d posted the article, he became regretful, and took down the message that very day, but, the online community had made the article go viral, that, was why it’d given the student so much troubles, he’d wanted to tell the student he was sorry, but, he could, because of his pride.

The manager of the D.A. in Hualien said, that although the instructor’s behavior didn’t break any laws, but, there were sexual hints in the article, which caused strangers to call up the high school student, that the instructor had offended laws against prevention of sexual harassment.

See, how bad an innocent joke can become?  That just shows, how before you post anything online, you MUST check again, again, AND again, to make sure, that you don’t cause any trouble for anybody else, or yourselves.  And, this, is also, a form of cyberbullying…
