A Judge’s Allowing a Sexual Predator to Be Out on Bail Was Spoken Against by the Press, the Judge Sued and Won the Case Against the Media

The District Judge in Hsinbei Judiciary System, Lu three years ago, allowed a sex offender to be out on bail, Apple Daily reported on how he believed the words of the predator, and posted his photo on their newspaper, along with his age, and family situations; Lu sued for three million dollars N.T., the High Courts believed, that Apple Daily didn’t check the facts, and that the paper had attacked Lu’s reputations, and found the person responsible for the paper, the editor-in-chief, as well as the reporter of the story to pay seven hundred thousand dollars N.T., and print a retraction.

The cabdriver, Hsieh on July 11, 2011 raped a Japanese female passenger, and was taken into custody by the Hsinbei District Attorney’s Office, the judge on duty, Lu believed, that although Hsieh had committed the crimes, but there’s no evidence showing that he would be at flight risk, or having someone falsify the testimonies for him, allowed him to be out on a fifty thousand dollars N.T. bail.

Apple Daily on July 15, 16, 18 printed the title “Because the Judge Took the Words of the Rapist that it Was Consensual, Set the Wolf Free on Fifty Thousand Dollars”, it’d also posted the judge’s photo, his marital status, along with his schooling and experience.  Related reports had gotten the public ranting, the former city councilwoman, Lai also went on television, claiming, “His behavior had gotten the society angry at him”.

Lu accused, that related reports had, damaged his reputation, and that the Apple Daily didn’t get his permission, before they’d printed his photo, reported on how old he was, his family status, so anybody could know what he looked like, that it’d violated his rights.

The first trial found Apple Daily to be guilty, mandated that it pays $400,000N.T. to the judge, and the reporter got off free; the high courts believed, that the courts already held a press conference that it didn’t believe the words of the perpetrator, and Apple Daily didn’t report the truth, plus, what Lu looks like, has nothing to do with how he’d found the offender as guilty or not, that related reports had, hurt Lu’s reputations, that Apple Daily needed to pay Lu seven hundred dollars N.T., and that they must print out a retraction notice; and Lai was merely stating an opinion, that she didn’t attack anybody personally, she was off the hook, the case can still be appealed.

Yeah, you’ve got to be shitting me, you’d SET a rapist free, and, you’d come under fire, and, you blamed the press for saying SHIT about you?  Are you FUCKING kidding me here???  And, where the HELL is the JUSTICE?  The judge still WON!
