The younger generations in Taiwan, because they were born, into a democratic world, they’re more able to express their opinions, even IF they differ from that of others, and if this behavior can be promoted, then, it could become the driven force for improvements of the Taiwanese society. But unfortunately, in recent years, the cyberbullying behaviors of Taiwan had become the “norm”, even IF it’s just a statement of opinion that was posted online, then, getting passed, by words of mouth, and became libelous to someone else, and the person who’d put forth this message feels glad, that the attacks had occurred! This clearly showed, that there’s a lack of moral responsibilities being instructed in the homes and at the schools.
And what’s worse is that those who bullied others online are used to use internet medium to convey their messages, and had even spoken via the lips of reporters, through Facebook too, and a lot of these reporters didn’t even check into the facts, and started stated the news, and so, internet bullying had become, not just a tool, for defamation, but also, it’d reduced the realms of rational discussions too, at the same time, it’d enlarged the effects of the bullies, thus, reduced the levels of trust between one another.
And so, this, is just the beginning of the stories, as to how it will end, my guess would be, AWFUL, because we’re all becoming more and more reliant on the information we’d found on the web, and, the web sometimes, contains only JUST the opinions, and, if those opinions managed to get enough “Kudos” or whatevers, then, those opinions become taken as F-A-C-T-S!
