A middle school student got into an online game, he’d started battling against another member of the online community, he’d posted the message, “I’d taken out a dozen middle schools in just one second”, and named the multiple middle schools in Nantou, it’d set off this feeding frenzy, panic, and the parents, as well as the schools started worrying of an imminent mass murder, the Nantou police tracked this middle school student down yesterday, he claimed that he was aiming for Kudos from the online community, that, was why he’d written the message, after the police looked into the matter, they’d booked this student on charges of threat, sent him to the Juvenile Court in Pingdong to be processed.
The counselor of this middle school student stated, that he was diagnosed with Asperger’s from the autism spectrum, a long time counseled student in the school, and, after the counseling sessions, he’d made progress, he showed no signs of violence regularly, but, he still had troubles knowing which statements would be appropriate or inappropriate in various situation, and, he might have gotten too much into online games, to the point that he’d confused the online world with reality.
This, is the BAD influence of online gaming, because you’d gotten too into the games, that it’d become hard, for you to tell between reality and fantasy, and, because this student is autistic, he had even more difficulties, knowing what is and/or isn’t appropriate, which was what had caused this scare in the first place.
