Could the Professors in the Ivory Towers Manage to Teach Doctorates Who are Practical?

Commentaries from the Front Page Sections, shedding light on the problems of modern day education, translated…

The Department of Education, in its “Turning Over the Higher Education Plan” stated, that the community colleges should set up classes for “practical doctoral studies”, that the students can use their real-life experiences, and not do a dissertation.  On the view of help cultivating people, hoped, that this sort of practical doctoral training can head into the industries, instead of getting back to the colleges to teach.  I believe, that this, is too idealistic and totally unreal.

There are a TON of professors who are hiding out inside the ivory tower of academia, and, it would be, next to impossible, for these instructors to teach doctorates who are practical.  And, in the end, they’d managed to make their students, the laughing stock of the society instead.

The experts are different leveled, and so, they’d written out reports with different levels of understanding.  A good technical report can be turned into several good thesis statements.  When the Emerald Dam was still in its designing stages, a ton of foreign consultants all voiced one thought: in building a dome-shaped dam, there are the outputs of over ten doctoral dissertations.  I think so too, but, because our academic levels and our industries are not quite matched up yet, back then, a lot of the younger generations who managed to get into doctorate programs all wrote their dissertations on other matters, and, in the end, the Emerald Dam became the subjects of nobody’s doctoral dissertations.  A technical report, if it doesn’t contain any materials to get turned into the contents of a dissertation, then, it can only end up, on someone’s book shelves, gathering dust, how can someone who wrote the report be able to teach.

The right method should be to absorb some of the more outstanding people in the industries, and get them to teach the graduate level courses, so, there’s an interaction with the learning of theories, combining with the applications, then, that way, we would be able to train the doctorates who can apply what they learned in the books, later on, as they’d come out into the real world.

So, you CAN make the grades, but, you have NO real world skills, and that, would be the problem of this NEXT generation of grad students who are currently inside those “halls of knowledge”, because, there’s NO real world applications in their studies, how can you expect them to make use of what they learned, inside those locked-up, closed-in, lecture halls???
