How We Settled…

How we settled, for the things that we KNOW isn’t right in life, how we settled, for the wrong things in life…

How we settled, for all our washed up dreams?  How we settled in life, how we hurt ourselves, by lying about how we’re not due better things in life.

How we settled, because we have to, because there’s NO other option in life, and so, we do it, out of despair.  How we settled, there’s NO doubt, that it’s hard, but hey, that, is life, and, we either do our best to make it work, or, we get, taken out, and, NONE of us want to get taken out.

How we settled, for that dead-end job, when we KNOW we deserved more, but, it’s just, NOT our turns, to get that promotion, and someday, it will, BE ours, that’s for certain!

How we settled, how we stopped fighting, for WHAT we deserved, and just, took what’s given to us, to chew………
